RIAT in Ars Electronica

Day 1, I discovered what seemed to be a bookshop dedicated to research in art and technology. In fact, this space was Ars’ home to the Research Institute in Art and Technology. RIAT is a newly independent research institute based in Vienna interested in developing and improving literacy in crypto-economics, blockchain, open hardware and experimental artistic technologies. Merchant of Doubts (Film)

It was a documentary which explored the cases of tobacco and global warming to reflect on marketing strategies and their impact on public policy. Both tobacco studies and global warming have in common that their existence in the public debate is based on facts and data. Design for good – Sophie Thomas

I attended a conference by Sophie Thomas from the studio thomas.matthews. Their studio is based on the philosophy design can be sustainable and good at the same time.
